Adding Accounts to CollabTools
To add an account, go to Services in the left-hand sidebar menu.
Click Add Existing User or Invite New User.
To add an existing user, locate the account you want to add.
CollabTools Group Management
To create or delete groups in Jira or Confluence click Manage Groups.
To add a group, enter the group name and click Create Group.
You can delete groups you’ve created by selecting the box and clicking Delete Group.
Default groups
- Member: Can view only
- User: Normal user role. Can interact with the group according to set permissions
- Admin: Can perform space administration tasks
Using groups
Groups can be used in Jira to map to certain roles. In Confluence, you can define permissions by group.
You can filter users by group. Click the dropdown that says All Groups and choose the preferred group.
To edit a user’s groups, click the 3 dots to the right of that user, and then Edit User.
From here you can select the checkboxes that apply.
