Speedtest

This speed test will show you the performance of your connection, over intermediate networks, to our production servers.

Ping is the reaction time of your connection – how fast you get a response after you've sent out a request. A fast ping means a more responsive connection, especially in applications where timing is everything. Slow pings could be a precursor to dropped remote access sessions. Ping is measured in milliseconds (ms).

Jitter is the variation between response times. Good connections have a reliable and consistent response time, which is represented as a lower jitter score. The higher the jitter score, the more inconsistent connection response times are, which manifests in choppy remote access sessions or video.

Download speed is how fast you can pull data from the server to you. Most connections are designed to download much faster than they upload, since the majority of online activity, like loading the site, or downloading assets. Download speed is measured in megabits per second (Mbps).

Upload speed is how fast you send data from you to others. Uploading is necessary for uploading assets or transferring data into a system. Upload speed is measured in megabits per second (Mbps).

If you are experiencing poor performance (high pings, high jitter, low download speeds) contact your local network admin and/or ISP to investigate the problem.
