Dedicated Hosts
Users can request a dedicated host via a support ticket. The Arcus team will create the dedicated host and make it available. In your support request, please specify:
- Cloud Type (AWS or Azure)
- Desired Dedicated Host Family/Type
Note: RHEL 7, 8, and 9 are not available
When launching deployment runs, users can select the dedicated host:
Capabilities
- Deployment runs can be provisioned on top of dedicated hosts.
- Deployment runs on dedicated hosts can perform host actions (resize, reboot, shutdown, snapshot, restore).
- A dedicated host will have the same availability zone as the cloud it is created in.
Resize
The number of deployment runs that can be provisioned on a dedicated host depends on the size of each deployment run instance type and size of the dedicated host.
To resize, click your host. From there, choose “Resize” in the sidebar:
Select the size that will fit the CPU. You cannot exceed the limit of the size of your dedicated host CPU/RAM. This can cause the run to error.
