Team Managers can restrict file transfer (upload/download) and clipboard (copy/paste of text) in remote access sessions for each of the projects under their control. These controls allow Team Managers to comply with security policies and protect proprietary files by restricting file transfer and clipboard capabilities.
File Transfer Management Permissions
Team Managers in Arcus can manage file transfer in a project. Team Managers automatically inherit this permission for all projects under their team.
Project Managers can view the level of restriction via the Project Management interface (read-only). Only the Team Manager can make changes.
Users are notified of any remote access file transfer restrictions when launching a remote access session.
Adjusting Remote Access File Transfer Restrictions
Team Managers can enable or disable:
File Transfer
- Upload
- Download
Clipboard
- Copy
- Paste
As a Team Manager:
- Click Projects on the main navigation menu on the left under the Manage header
- Click on the Project whose resources need to be adjusted
- Click Manage on the upper right
- Scroll down to the section “Remote Access Data Controls”
- Adjust the desired project limits as shown below
- Click SAVE (the system will alert you for any conflicts)
Note: By default, file transfer and clipboard access are fully enabled. If no changes are made, file upload/download and clipboard copy/paste are allowed in remote access sessions.
Note: After saving any changes, the chosen settings will apply when users launch their next remote access session. The changes will not interrupt or change any existing remote access sessions.
