Delete my AWS Cloudspace

Cloudspaces
The best way to clean up your AWS cloudspace is to perform a de-allocation from Arcus. To do this you must be a Team Manager, and the steps are as follows:
- Navigate to your AWS Cloudspace page under the Main Menu –> Cloudspaces
- Click on the Runs tab
- If there are any “Available: runs listed, click the “3-dots” icon, and click Release for each one
- Click Manage
- Click Remote Access
- If remote access is enabled, uncheck the checkbox, and click Save
- Click Administrators
- Click the X button to remove each cloudspace administrator
- Click Project
- Click the X button to remove each project from the cloudspace
- Click the “3-dots” icon at the top right (next to the Manage button)
- Click Deactivate
- Click the “3-dots” icon again
- Click Unregister
- In the pop-up, check the De-Allocate checkbox, this will clean up resources from your AWS account
- Click Unregister. This may take a few minutes, it will delete the Cloudspace from Arcus, and also release resources (except Elastic IPs) from your AWS account
If there were problems with the de-allocation process, you may want to manually clean up resources from your AWS dashboard. See the following section.
Manually Clean up AWS Resources
To clean up your AWS dashboard, you will need access to EC2, VPC, and IAM. Obtain 2 pieces of information, either from the Arcus Cloudspace management page, or the AWS VPC dashboard:
- The ID of the VPC (e.g. vpc-123456)
- The name of the Cloudspace / VPC. Note, AWS resources will have spaces removed from the cloudspace name.
Clean up EC2
- First, log in to your EC2 dashboard
- Look under your running instances, and find any containing the Cloudspace name
- For each cloudspace EC2 instance, right-click, go to “Instance State”, and click Terminate
- Click on Key Pairs
- Right-click and delete any key-pairs containing the cloudspace name
- Click on Security Groups
- Filter on the VPC ID only (be sure to not delete security groups for other VPCs)
- Click on each Security Group, and delete all the rules by:
- Click on the Inbound rules, click Edit and delete each rule
- Click on the Outbound rules, click Edit and delete each rule

- Log in to your VPC dashboard
- Click Your VPCs
- Right-click on the VPC ID to delete, and select Delete VPC
